Remembering when Rod Pampling won the last Australian Masters at Huntingdale: video

The last time the Australian Masters was hosted at Huntingdale, Rod Pampling won after a dramatic three-hole playoff.

I’ve been hunting around for some of the footage from the 2008 Australian Masters – the last time the tournament was staged at Huntingdale, but for such a dramatic, memorable ending to the tournament, footage is scarce.

I did manage to find this piece from Bruce Young who shared his views on the incredible end to the tournament on Sky News, which saw Rod Pampling beat Marcus Fraser in a three-hole sudden-death playoff.

The tournament was also was also a memorable one for the images of Robert Allenby playing through tears after it became apparent he was not going to be able to win the tournament for his ailing mother as he had promised.

It’s probably better than just a simple highlights package because like always, Bruce gives some depth and context what was a thrilling Australian Masters.
