Playing hickories at Musselburgh, one of the world’s oldest golf courses
Musselburgh Golf Links is considered to be one of the world’s oldest golf courses and hosted five Open Championships in the 1870s and 1880s.
The quirky Musselburgh Golf Links 9-hole golf course sits in the middle of a race track in East Lothian, Scotland with a wonderful old pub that doubles as the clubhouse. And at less than £20 for a round it firmly sits on my list of must-play golf courses.
And now thanks to Golfing World and Iona Stephen, I know you can rock up and play it with hickories. This IS a bucket list item for me.
