Golfer duffs two shots from the fringe: video

Richard H. Lee gave hackers across the world a reason to smile with two bad shots today at TPC Sawgrass.

Before Martin Kaymer putted out to win THE 2014 PLAYERS Championship, and before the rain delay that had many people expecting a Monday finish, Richard H. Lee had a few problems on the tricky island green at the 17th hole. But not in the way you may expect.

Lee had found dry land for the fourth straight day but in a tricky position. His tee shot finished on the fringe but up against the long grass. In an attempt to use the blade of the wedge to knock the ball towards the hole, he almost missed it completely.

His second shot wasn’t much better. Opting to now putt, he played almost the same shot, barely making contact with the top of the golf ball.

Hat tip to Devil Ball Golf for this one.
