GOLF TRAVEL / Play golf in Japan before seeing the Wallabies play in the 2019 Rugby World Cup

Here is one cracking golf tour – play golf in Japan, experience the incredible culture the country offers and then stick around to watch the Wallabies play in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Combining a golf trip with a big sporting event is the stuff of dreams and here is one that sees golfers playing some of the best courses in Japan as a prelude to the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

In addition to the Japan Golf Tour for next July 2019, Sheri Yu at AYM Golf Tours is offering a Pre-Rugby World Cup Tour to Hokkaido – Japan’s northern-most island. Hokkaido is home to some special golf courses and the city of Sapporo is host to the Wallabies v Fiji match (Sept 21, 2019) at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The Pre-Rugby World Cup Tour of Hokkaido (Sept 14 – 20, 2019) includes four rounds of golf at three incredible golf clubs – two rounds of golf at the Nidom Classic Course, and rounds at The North Country Golf Club and Katsura Golf Club. The tour also includes accommodation transfers, daily buffet breakfasts and all green fees, carts and caddies.

But it’s the experience of playing golf in Japan that is the real pull for Australian golfers here. It’s a world of golf like no other I’ve experienced.

I was lucky enough to experience golf and the culture around Hokkaido on a recent trip to Japan and it was stunning to say the least. I’m happy to say one of the most unique, wonderful countries I have ever visited and can’t tell people enough that they need to go and visit if you haven’t before.

And the Rugby World Cup?
The golf tour portion of the trip finishes on September 20, the day before the Wallabies take on Fiji at the incredible Sapporo Dome. they grow the grass outside the stadium and move it in on the day of the game!

So after golf tour is finished, you can choose to extend your stay to watch the Wallabies play. Just make sure you let AYM Tours know as early as possible and they will line up another package that includes three nights accommodation and two tickets to the game. Tickets are selling fast!
