FLASHBACK: When Arnold Palmer hit driver off the deck to finish his PGA Tour career
Arnold Palmer played his last PGA tour event at his own Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2004 and the man finished in superb fashion hitting a driver off the deck to the 18th green at Bay Hill.
Australia’s Stuart Appleby finished runners-up to Chad Campbell that year with the American winning by a whopping six-strokes but we doubt few cheers were as loud as when Palmer finished like he did.
You can see Palmer’s grandson and PGA Tour player Sam Saunders on the bag in the video. Saunders will be hitting the first tee shot at this year’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.
