Co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia, Vijay Singh returns to play in his home country and will be joined by the likes of fellow Major champion Nick Price, Japan Tour stars Brendan Jones and Brad Kennedy, as well as young guns Matthew Griffin, Brady Watt and Bryden Macpherson.

The Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course was originally designed by Vijay Singh with many of the championship hole hug the line of the Pacific Ocean. Although he and his management company pulled out of the course design contract, he returns to see and play on the golf course for the first time.

The course has won rave reviews course design experts and golf fans alike. And by all reports, it can be a very testing layout if the wind blows.

Keep an eye on Michael Sim too.

The three-time Web.com Tour winner has returned to playing some good golf with a decent finish at the recent Stonebrae Classic. We may be seeing the return of Sim, someone who was once dubbed the next major star of Australian golf.

The Fiji International will Fiji’s first internationally broadcast golf tournament. A US$1 million prize purse sees the event broadcast around the world and into Australia via FoxSports who will show live coverage of all four days of action. On a cold winter’s day, it should make great viewing!

TV Times: Fox Sports 3 (and 3HD) 10 – 3.00pm AEST Thursday and Friday,  9 – 2.00pm AEST Saturday and Sunday.
