Fiji Golf Resort named best in Australasia
The home of the PGA Tour of Australasia’s newest tournament has just been named best golf resort in Australasia.
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and SpaI post this for two reasons.
Firstly, I’m a sucker for a great golf course photo, and this one sitting in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, is a majestic sight. This is the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, which has just been named Australasia’s Best Golf Resort in the recent World Travel Awards (WTA) in Dubai.
I have no idea how big the awards are or what resorts they were up against but the photos (more below) look spectacular.
Secondly, Natadola Bay has just been announced as the home of the new Fiji International golf tournament, a co-sanctioned event with the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia tournament.
While the final date is yet to be confirmed, the inaugural Fiji International will be played at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course in August 2014.
Righto, you’ve got 10 months to get your game into gear, turn pro and head to Fiji. Or perhaps just booking a holiday there would be easier.
