FED EX CUP / Day, Leishman start slow at TOUR Championship – video highlights

Australians Marc Leishman and Jason Day are off to a slow start in pursuit of the most lucrative prize in golf.

Aussies Marc Leishman and Jason Day are chasing a hot Kyle Stanley who leads the way through round one at the TOUR Championship. Stanley posted a 6-under par opening round at the final PGA Tour event of the season, the TOUR Championship.

The 30 players who qualified for the season ending event at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta are chasing a $10 million prize which will go to the player ranked the highest on the Fed Ex Cup Points rankings at the end of the tournament.

If the leaderboard stays as it is, Jordan Spieth is close enough to Kyle Stanley to win the Fed Ex Cup trophy being ranked as the top player going into the event.

Leishman struggled off the tee and could only manage a 1-over par round of 71 around the tricky East Lake course. Day finished two strokes better at 1-under par with a round that included five birdies and four bogeys.
