Ernie Els to return for 2015 Australian Masters at Huntingdale

If you’ve never seen four-time major winner Ernie Els hit a golf ball, get along to this year’s Australian Masters.

Organisers of the Australian Masters, IMG announced today that four-time major winner Ernie Els will be returning to Australia to play in the tournament when it returns to Huntingdale Golf club from 19 – 22 November, 2015.

Els is no stranger to the Melbourne Sandbelt having won three consecutive Heineken Classic’s at Royal Melbourne as well as being part of the only Presidents Cup victory at the same place back in 1998.

“I have many great memories of Australia and the Melbourne Sandbelt has always been one of my favourite places to play. I am looking forward to getting back to Huntingdale and finishing off the year strongly,” said Els.

Ernie Els has had a lean year without a top-10 to his name and has subsequently slipped out of the top-100 in the world golf rankings, but there are signs The Big Easy is getting his game back together with a good performance at the US PGA Championship.

The Australian Masters will be sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and broadcast on the Seven Network across Australia for five hours on each of the four days.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 21st September through Ticketmaster and the tournament will again provide free entry for children under the age of 16 accompanied by a paying adult. Please refer to www.australianmasters.com.au for ticket and general event information.
