Feherty’s sharp wit and love for the game his led him to become one of golf’s most loved commentators. He has openly admitted his own struggles with drugs, alcohol, and his battle with depression.
“But this is easily livable, the way I feel now. It’s taken a combination of pills, therapy and not drinking, but I’m better every day,” Feherty told Golf.com in 2009.
“Far too many people are owned by addiction and devastated by depression. There’s such a stigma attached to mental illness that they’re afraid to get help. You can get better, but you can’t do it alone.”
Thank you all so much for your messages. To be surrounded by such love is of great comfort to me at this time
