Here is out Bonnie Doon golf course review after the first stage of a full course redesign.

Just 20 minutes south of the Sydney CBD, Bonnie Doon Golf Club has always been considered a good golf course. Always in great condition, a round at Bonnie Doon is an enjoyable experience with a fine layout, without any particularly memorable golf holes.

Not as well known as some other Adelaide golf courses, Glenelg Golf Club is fast becoming one of Australia’s best.

A stinking hot Adelaide day would mean only the toughest (or perhaps craziest) golfers would be enduring the heat. So things were pretty quiet as made my way to Glenelg Golf Club late in the afternoon, still with plenty of time to fit in eighteen holes.

South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula is worth a look as a golf holiday destination.

Australia is perhaps the most accessible place in the world to play golf. Not only are there a good number of well priced public courses but if you’re looking for a golf holiday the options are also plentiful.

After a tough opening 10 years ago, The Links Shell Cove is now a much more enjoyable place to play golf.

The Links Shell Cove opened in 2004 and all I heard was how difficult it was. Reports kept filtering from Kiama (about 90 minutes drive south of Sydney) about how hard the fairways were and how deep the rough was.

Royal Canberra is always rated as one of Australia’s best golf courses and I’d been wanting to walk its fairways like some of the world’s best had, for many years.

Controversy over a proposal to re-design the golf course has done nothing to ruin a day out on the majestic fairways of Royal Adelaide.

I remember the first time I saw the Old Course at St.Andrews on TV.

“Oh, they’ve got a road crossing the 18th like Royal Adelaide”, I naively though to myself.

Victoria Golf Club may have been the most underrated golf course in Australia’s Top-10. But no longer after high praise from the world’s number-one golfer.

Once found, you’ll never forget golf at Barnbougle Lost Farm. 

The flight to Launceston was uneventful but after a wrong turn on my way to Bridport that led to encounters with every native species of Tasmanian fauna, I realised this would be no ordinary golf weekend away.

Here is a golf resort without all the bells and whistles, and it’s a refreshing change and one worthy of a visit.

Kangaroo Valley Golf Course had been on my list of golf courses to play for quite some time. It is one of the lesser known courses in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, but I’ve met many golfers who speak very highly of it.
