IMG announce the Australian Masters has been cancelled

It appears the tradition won’t continue with news that the Australian Masters will not be held in 2016.

After a few problematic years where the tournament has run at a loss with poor attendances and a lack of big-name golfers, Australian Masters’ organisers IMG have announced that the event won’t be held in 2016.

Matthew Millar will take a one stroke lead into the final round of the 2015 UNIQLO Australian Masters and looking for only his second professional victory of his career.

Adam Scott has stormed out of the blocks to lead the 2015 Australian Masters at Huntingdale.

Adam Scott has continued his recent good form to surge into the lead at the 2015 UNIQLO australian Masters thanks to a bogey-free 7-under 64.

“I played really solid, so it’s nice to see a little bit of the work I’ve been doing last week and early this week fall into place in a tournament situation,” said Scott.
