Brooks Koepka lashes critics after stripping off for ESPN Body Issue

Brooks Koepka is the latest athlete to pose nude for ESPN’s The Magazine Body Issue, and he’s not happy with anyone having a go at him for doing so.

Like Gary Player and Greg Norman before him, Brooks Koepka has stripped off to pose for ESPN’s Body Issue.

And despite keeping his glove on for a number of the swinging shots, Koepka has hit out at anyone who has dared to criticize him for doing so.

After sharing one of the photos on Instagram and then firing into a share of the lead after round one of the TOUR Championship, Koepka lashed out at what he must have known was coming.

“It’s one of those things where all these people that talk crap and whatever on social media, they don’t have the balls to do it, and they wouldn’t look that good,” Koepka said.

Koepka looks to have taken a lot of the obvious social media chatter that follows a photoshoot like this to heart.

“I couldn’t care less what people say online,” Koepka said.

“If you’ve got people hating you, you’re doing something right.”

Koepka is talking about revenge to a prank by Dustin Johnson that saw an oversize photo from the shoot sitting in his parking spot as he arrived to play the second round of the TOUR Championship.

But we’re really not sure what he was expecting? Did he think this would “barely” raise an eyebrow?

And if you think things got awkward when Koepka recounted the context behind that famous photo with his girlfriend Jena Sims, perhaps the strangest moment came when Matt Kuchar misinterpreted a question from a reporter.

Kuchar was told he could see the photos of Koepka as “they’re out there”.

“Oh, thank you,” Kuchar replied. “Like he and Tiger share similarities there?”

After being told they weren’t leaked photos but ones taken for ESPN, Kuchar backpedaled.

“I thought you were really telling me… I wanted to see that. Alright. Maybe next time.”

Awkward.
