Aussie Golfer turns five today!

It is Aussie Golfers birthday today and we’re turning five.

Five years ago I decided to get a few golf related things off my chest and start a little blog that I named Aussie Golfer.
Today, much to the surprise of many (including myself), it’s still going. And going strong too. Without the time and resources some other golf websites have, I’m proud of where Aussie Golfer is right now that hopefully supplements many of the other Australian golf websites, but stands unique in its own right.
The website has given me the opportunity to cover the big golf tournaments such as The Presidents Cup, the Australian Open and The Australian Masters. I now write a regular column in Inside Golf magazine and the blog seems to be a (hopefully) respected golf voice in social media circles.
A big thanks to all the readers and to those of you who have passed on encouragement and criticism over the years. The feedback and timely boosts have been invaluable as there have been moments where I’ve wondered what I’m doing it all for!

Just like the game itself the whole experience has been a load of fun, and I’m hoping you’ll all keep reading!
Cheers,
Michael Green

  • Congratulations Aussie Golfer, a great achievement. I also like your choice of photo to celebrate the milestone, the approach to the par 5 12th at Royal Glenelg GC, one of my favourite holes
