Adam Scott has tied the knot
In typical unassuming fashion, Adam Scott got married a month ago – managing to avoid the media spotlight and somehow keeping it secret until now.
AAP’s Ben Everill revealed that Adam Scott is now a married man after tying the know with long-time girlfriend Marie Kojzar the Thursday after the Masters:
While the fightback was impressive, it was lost amongst the revelation he had married long-time girlfriend Marie Kojzar in a surprise and secret small Bahamas ceremony on April 17th, the Thursday after this year’s Masters.
“It’s official. I am a settled down man and very happy,” Scott said.
“We just decided to get on with it, we’ve known each other long enough, let’s go and jump right in the deep end.”
It’s a fair indication of Scott’s character (and of those around him) to be able to keep a lid on this news for so long. Scott flew his family and a few of his best mates to the Bahamas after The Masters but no word yet on whether any of them were expecting the wedding.
Scott’s attention is now back on aiming to grab himself a top-16 finish at The PLAYERS Championship in a bid to claim the world number one ranking.
After his 5-over par opening round, it appeared his quest top the rankings may have been squandered. But a superb 5-under par 67 second round has him playing on the weekend and still a sneaky chance to surpass Tiger Woods on the overall world golf rankings.
