2017 Dell Match Play: Day 1 video highlights

Marc Leishman off to a strong start on day 1 of the 2017 Dell Match Play.

As usual there were a fair share of upsets on the opening day of the 2017 Dell Match Play, the most notable coming from the match involving tournament favourite Rory McIlroy where he was beaten 2&1 by Denmark’s Soren Kjeldsen.

The other pre-tournament favourite and world number one Dustin Johnson soundly beat Webb Simpson 5&3, but the other big upset came when Jordan Spieth was beaten 4&2 by Japan’s Hideto Tanihara.

Australia’s Marc Leishman continued his good form racking up a 3&2 victory of England’s Lee Westwood – see his post round interview below. After the unfortunate withdrawal of Jason Day, Leishman will see his way through to the round of 16 if he beats American Pat Perez tomorrow.
