2016 Ryder Cup: Australian TV Times

If you’re the sort of golf fan who loves watching golf on TV, then you would be mad to miss the 2016 Ryder Cup that tees off this week in Minnesota.

FoxSports has the live coverage of the 2016 Ryder Cup from Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, USA this week, and if you have FoxSports, you’d be mad to miss it.

The Europeans have won eight of the last ten Ryder Cup’s but nearly all have been absolutely compelling viewing. I’ll never forget watching the ‘Miracle at Medinah’ in 2012 when Team Europe produced one if the most amazing comebacks that you’ll see in any sporting arena.

Europe’s victories at Celtic Manor in 2010 and Gleneagles in 2014 was stunning to watch, and the US win at the ‘Battle of Brookline’ in 1999 paved the way for a new kind of rivalry between the USA and Europe that had already begun at Kiawah Island’s ‘War on the Shore’ in 1991.

Any sporting event that has so many events given nicknames has to be worth watching.

Seriously, if you’re feeling a little down that your footy team isn’t playing finals this week – watching the Ryder Cup may be the perfect pick-me-up. It’s one of the world’s great golf events and should not be missed.
